Hispanic Heritage Month 2020 Virtual Presentations

Looking for videos from our 2020 Hispanic Heritage Month presentations? 2020 was a year like no other, and our programs were limited while many of our sites were temporarily closed in observance of social distancing guidelines. But, we still had great things to share! Check them out on our YouTube page.

About Hispanic Heritage Month

Over 17% of our county’s population has roots in Mexico, Spain, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, or one of the many other nations in the Spanish-speaking world. As Prince George’s County grows and changes, we want to celebrate the amazing diversity of art and culture that people of Hispanic or Latin descent have added to the rich tapestry of our neighborhoods.

Each year, from September 15 to October 15, we celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with music, dance, and art exhibitions throughout the County. You’ll find opportunities for the whole family to create arts and crafts, savor delicious food, and hear stories—real and imagined—from around the world. The linchpin of our month-long celebration is our Annual Hispanic Festival, which in previous years has drawn thousands of celebrants from all over Prince George’s County and beyond.
