Book and Film Discussion: Red at the Bone
Wednesday, February 8 & 15, 2023, 7 pm
Red at the Bone (2016) by Jacqueline Woodson, is a novel about a contemporary family saga that is alive with echoes of the Tulsa fire-bombing, Black migration to northern cities, feminism, educational webs, the intimate losses of 9/11, and generational tensions. Participants are encouraged to read the book beforehand; this slim volume is packed with events ripe for discussion. Led by Dr. Karen Arnold, join us to read and discuss this page-turner. This event is ticketed.
