The Publick Playhouse Celebrates its 40th Anniversary

Cheverly, Md. – Prince George’s Publick Playhouse for the Performing Arts celebrates 40 years of bringing first-class arts and entertainment to the community. Join us for a festive week of performances and events December 2 – 8!

Throughout the week, the Playhouse will highlight its anniversary during scheduled performances for all ages. Many of the events include a special look back at the Playhouse, featuring fascinating photos of the theatre over the past forty years. The anniversary celebration kicks off Saturday, December 2 with a holiday concert by Regina Belle. The Grammy Award-winning singer performs holiday favorites along with her hit songs in a special night of musical celebration. Then, on Thursday, December 7, patrons are invited to a reception where they can meet artist Michael Moses, whose work is on display in the lobby. Some of the leaders who have helped the Publick Playhouse gain recognition as a performing arts jewel in our community will also attend the reception.
