A Recipe for Award-Winning Online Community Engagement - VIDEO (1 hour) and Brief Discussions
From the video’s host, Dave Biggs, MetroQuest: In partnership with the American Planning Association and co-sponsored by the International Association for Public Participation, this highly visual webinar will present proven best practices, research findings, practical tips and award-winning case studies to guide agencies towards the successful application of online community engagement for planning projects. Participants will walk away with an understanding about how to leverage digital citizen engagement to achieve unprecedented results using cost-effective tools.
This webinar will showcase a wide range of outstanding planning projects from across the country. Our special guests from Nashville Metropolitan Transit Authority will be online to talk about the nMotion Strategic Plan, one of the most successful outreach efforts we’ve ever seen. They will discuss the innovative ways they combined online and targeted face to face community engagement to involve over 15,000 community members to turn around the controversial project. They also share advice for agencies seeking to improve the diversity and effectiveness of their community engagement efforts and talk about the positive difference that broad community support is making as they move forward.
